A happening 1400 miles road trip to Florida

So I was in Dallas for work and got to know there is a long weekend coming up - after my short trips to Austin and Oklahoma - I was looking for a better long road trip.

Asked 3 friends - all had commitments - so here it begins

Had a white Kia Soul for the trip - it was the latest 2017 model and updated with latest android screen as well.

It was the first time I used Android Auto and loved every bit of it.

I grabbed my bags put it in the trunk and here we go

Just when I was about to leave, got a call from my Uncle who was planning to visit Houston for this long weekend. I was delighted to pick him up - he drove till Houston which was the time I rested - it was a long journey ahead after all.

I hooked up my playlist and we are on our way.

Dallas was here and I was my turn to drive - the entire remaining Journey

It was one of the best drives in one of the finest cars on one of the finest infrastructures - took some stops for my regular McDonald Mocha Frappe (thats a must) - and there it was RAIN. I thought no problem and kept driving but then this is what I heard on the radio:

“Beep Beep - This is a thunderstorm warning - its a sever thunderstorm - please reach a safe place and keep reserves - this should last for another 3-4 hours.”

I being super-human and careless - thought - let they say - I can drive - no problem and then came this:

“Beep Beep - Warning number 2 - Please dont try to act smart and drive your way through - 70% of deaths in Thunderstorm are in cars at night”

and it was pretty dark - God spoke to me - I took the next exit - reserved a motel and thought of staying through the night.

Next morning it was all good - grabbed a hot coffee - and I begin again.

I entered Florida - and mind you it started becoming pretty already. Reserved at hotel and went there to freshen up - the view was quite amazing from the hotel itself - I used my points so dont really know how pricey it was ;)I walked around the beach - it was pretty late already so thought of just roaming around the city for the day and catch up on activities in the daytime next day.

Enjoyed the nightlife - which was pretty happening - it was in the boat at the shore. Ate one of the best fish dishes and then slept for good 8 hours - driving was a bit tiring.

Next day woke up to enjoy the sunrise and have some amazing breakfast of the city - it was so soothing and calming - and then I realized that I brought Hookah here - I thought why not - took permission from the coast guards and start making the flavor and burning coals - it was difficult to be honest - in that wind have a hookah - but nevertheless it had to happen - so it happened

People actually stopped by and enjoyed a few smoke

That was really surprising and interesting.

After this - went to jet skiing for about a couple of hours where I made new friends - the couple helped me show around and see the local spots - enjoy the local food and tell how they live and what they do for living. One of the best times I had - I enjoyed the sunset at the sea - re-enjoyed the night life of Florida and hit bed.

Next morning I left to get back to Dallas - it was definitely one of the finest trips I have done throughout the US and realized how many new things you learn when you leave for a Road Trip.

I was taking so many experiences with me and so excited to tell my initial 3 friends who kind-of ditched me for this.

Reached Houston again - picked my uncle and then rested for good one hour before I could share with him all about my trip.

We reached back Dallas at night - Had the same old Dallas Dinner and hit bed for next day office  One of the best trips I had.
