Hindus have worshipped the Peepal tree since the time of the Rig Veda." ( 1500 BC to 1000 BC).
Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment under a Peepal tree, making it the famous “Bodhi Tree” (563–483 BC).
Human existence is profoundly connected to the well-being of trees, which may explain why trees are revered as deities in India. In many villages, you will find at least one large tree that is regularly worshipped and honored as the Village Deity.
In some communities, offering prayers to the Peepal Tree during marriage ceremonies and festival days is considered a sacred ritual.
Wonderful initiative, @ParsadVR! Celebrating International Plant Appreciation Day is a fantastic way to recognize the vital role plants play in sustaining life and maintaining Earth’s ecosystems. Your green tribute beautifully highlights our responsibility to protect and appreciate nature’s marvels. Keep inspiring others with your eco-conscious spirit!
nice sharing @PrasadVR In addition to having very vital benefits for environmental sustainability and producing clean air, it turns out that trees also have their own meaning in people’s beliefs. In Bali, Indonesia, trees are honored by being given a cover of black and white checkered cloth. By being given that mark, people will not dare to disturb the tree. It also seems to have a connection with Hindu religious culture. Amazing!

According to Sanskrit Sloka, the Peepal Tree has the bottom referred to Lord Brahma, the middle to Lord Vishnu and the top to Lord Shiva…
Hope you might have heard this…

Ohh… this is something new for me, though I remember there was a Peepal Tree in my native village where many people used to gather in the morning for reading Newspapers and evening for discussions…
Of course, there are changes happening in this Kaliyuga…
Once again appreciate and thank for your involvement.
Best wishes with regards
