Thank you dear @TusharSuradkar I m flattered, I doubt if they ever know I exist for the reason that I have never worked for the government.
My work experience revolves around Non-government organization (NGO) or international agencies for development in Cambodia. There is one time my organization invited the high ranking officers for the official opening ceremony of the visitor center in Koh Kong. The minister of Tourism saw that I was capable so he told his subordinate that they should invite me to work for the provincial department of tourism in Koh Kong province. It was me who did not want to work for them as I got a scholarship to study in New Zealand at that time. Upon returning, I still join NGOs.
Thank you dear @SP31 appreciated your compliment Have you been here before?
Since I live here and that PP is home, I am lucky enough to capture much of what’s going on in this city. I am going to post more about this city in my next post. Please stay tuned!
@Sophia_Cambodia I have not but I certainly plan to , or at least hope to, eventually! It seems very friendly and relaxing - looking forward to your next post!
Well, welcome you anytime @SP31 and that we are also waiting for another good news which is the government plans to open safe tourism for those who already vaccinated. This new plan won’t require you to stay in quarantine or hotel but you will be in the same city where you land for 7 days (but you can visit the city, meaning go out but not travel to different province)
Current practice is that you will be in quarantine for 14 days before leaving the hotel (arranged by the government, with fee about 100$/days on food/accommodation). This is very difficult for visitors or anyone who wants to come visiting families in Cambodia now. From certain country with Delta variant, they will be in quarantine for 21 days. I was in a quarantine for 14 days when I came back from US earlier this year.
Beautiful pictures and wonderful post @Sophia_Cambodia . I have never been to Cambodia. So whatever you tell me about the country or the Phnom Penh city itself, I will gladly and excitedly listen to the story. I have seen some of your earlier posts and they all are great. Ok, as I am a foodie, tell me about your food. What is the typical menu for a wedding? Speaking of wedding, please also tell us the culture. Like how many functions are there and what comes after what, all by sequence. Oh, also, please tell me, if I am in Cambodia for just 3 days, which city I should must visit and what I must not miss to experience. I am asking too many questions, I know, but you can take your time and can write a series of posts to portray the country.
Thank you dear @SoniaK actually your questions can guide me to write contents that are interesting to readers. I found out many friends are interested in food and drink here and Phnom Penh is the hub for this. I will surely include them in my next post about Phnom Penh.
Yeah please, selfie @Nyainurjanah you just visualized me about meeting each other, I drive you over places around town and chitchatting over coffee and drink on sky bars, then taking selfie at tourist destinations. What a beautiful meeting!
That’s what I meant @Sophia_Cambodia . Try starting a series of posts to portray everything of the country. I particularly want to know about the food and the wedding ceremonies. In our country, weddings are always big celebrations with lots of food and rituals. What about in yours? Can you tell us about it? We also make some food exclusively for the wedding receptions that are not made at any restaurants or even at home. Do you have any such exclusivity in the weddings?
