A Gift, A Bond, A Memory

A Gift Beyond Borders - Connect Live 2026 and Memorable Gifts from Our Unofficial Meetup :globe_with_meridians:

Hello Local Guide friends

The most beautiful aspect of the Local Guides community is how borders drawn on maps become irrelevant, allowing hearts to connect with one another. We all felt the energy and excitement of the recently held Connect Live 2026 in Singapore, but for me, the event became the source of some special & emotional moments.

During our one of UNOFFICIAL MEETUP for '(Recap) NAMASTE INDIA LOCAL GUIDES SUMMIT 26 meetup held recently in Noida, I received a few surprises that further deepened the spirit of this global community.

A Journey from Pakistan via Singapore to India - The Affection of Dearest @KashifMisidia

Our fellow Local Guide Modretor & kind friend from Pakistan, Dearest(@KashifMisidia)-who represented his country at Connect Live in Singapore—sent a beautiful keychain as a gift for me.

Our dear friend @NareshDarji Bhai took on the task of bringing this lovely surprise from Singapore to India and delivering it to me with great warmth. When Naresh Bhai handed the gift to me, it wasn’t merely a souvenir; it was living proof of selfless love, respect, and an unbreakable friendship that transcends borders.

@Kumaarsantosh ’s Thoughtful Surprise: Sustainability and Memories of Singapore Connect Live 26

The joy didn’t stop there. At the unofficial meetup in Noida, our fellow Local guide friend Santosh also presented me with a fantastic Singapore keychain and a ‘Sustainability Magnet.’

This message of sustainability reflects our responsibility toward the environment, and the magnet will always inspire me to remain a responsible and conscious Local Guide.

Gratitude & Community Spirit

It is these small moments and thoughtful gifts that elevate this platform far beyond just mapping or reviews, transforming it into a strong, united community.

:glowing_star: Dearest @KashifMisidia Bhai, heartfelt thanks for your beautiful sentiment and sense of camaraderie.

:glowing_star: @NareshDarji Bhai, I am deeply grateful to you for acting as a bridge to bring this affection to me.

:glowing_star: @Kumaarsantosh , thank you for your thoughtful gift and constant support.

This journey of Local Guides is not just about discovering places, but about connecting hearts.

Thanks :folded_hands:

Oh, that’s wonderful news that you received the small gift I sent to you @shaileno !

In fact, I wanted to send an Ajrak and a letter to you and my dear friend @AnshukMitra as well, but due to a slight miscalculation, all 40 of my Ajraks ran out.

However, I’ve told Anshuk, and I’m telling you too, that InshaAllah, if life permits, I will hand-deliver your gifts to both of you at the next event, or when I come to Delhi. I won’t bother @Kumaarsantosh Bhai and @NareshDarji Bhai this time!:star_struck:

Dear @shaileno,

It is the love, warmth, and genuine bonds we create with one another that make our community so strong and powerful. Let us continue spreading positivity, kindness, and friendship, because if we can carry these values forward, the world around us can truly become a better place.

The moment we learn to celebrate and genuinely appreciate each other’s success, so many things naturally fall into place. There is no room for comparison or negativity; only encouragement, happiness, and collective growth. In fact, I believe this is also another beautiful dimension of sustainability, something I would love to explore and talk more about in the future.

Thank you so much for accepting this small gesture with such warmth. :folded_hands: I am truly humbled and happy to know that you liked it. For me, the mention itself was never important. What matters is that it touched your heart and brought a little happiness to you. If it did, then I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Thank you once again, dear friend. Keep spreading the positivity, keep celebrating others, and keep making this community a better place for everyone.

Thank you so much, Dear @KashifMisidia bhai The gift itself was special, but the thought and love behind it made it even more meaningful. Please don’t worry about the Ajrak at all. भगवान ने चाहा तो हम जब भी मिलेंगे—whether at an event or in Delhi—we’ll make that meeting even more special.

A gift is never about its size or value, my घुमक्कड़ Dost  @Kumaarsantosh It’s the feeling, care, and thought behind it that truly matters. Somewhere, it tells us that we are remembered, that we are part of someone’s happiness—and that itself is something beautiful.

That’s why I accept your gift with all my heart. & as you are the first participant in my Green City Sustainability series, I also have a little gift for you. I won’t reveal it just yet, but I’m sure when you receive it, you’ll feel happy, encouraged, and truly appreciated. :seedling::blush:
