A Funny Encounter at a Fair – Is There an Age Limit for Being a Local Guide?
Let me share a funny little experience with you all!
Last Friday, I visited a fair at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka. While exploring the fair wearing my Local Guides Bangla T-shirt, two young guys approached me and said something that made my day!
They asked me, “How did you become a Local Guide at your age? We’re young, but we don’t even know how to do Local Guiding!”
After saying that, they shook hands with me and went on their way.
As soon as they left, I couldn’t help laughing to myself! Later, I shared this hilarious encounter with my wife, and it made me smile all over again.
Now, let me ask you all something:
Since when has Local Guiding had an age limit?
Being a Local Guide isn’t about how young or old you are. It’s about your passion for exploring places, sharing experiences, helping people discover the world around them, and making Google Maps more helpful for everyone.
Age is just a number, but the spirit of a Local Guide never gets old!

What about you? Have you ever had a funny or unexpected encounter while wearing your Local Guides T-shirt? Share your stories in the comments!

Ketika saya mengajar saya selipkan maslaah mengulas Google Maps. Dan saya tinggal di desa . Jadi mereka menghafal saya ibu Google.
Berulang kali saya sudah mencoba menjelaskan, saya bukan ibu Google. Saya Nyai Titik Ratu , nama saya bagus .
Masa saya ibunya

This is a great story, @mamun837. When I started posting to Maps, I still had a dark beard and dark hair, now I have a white beard and far less hair.
There’s no age limits for doing what you love. And with age comes the wisdom to be mindful of what is going on around you, which can make for more meaningful reviews and better photos. These kids should be looking for a mentor!

Thank you @mamun837 , keep going. To become a local guide, you must be at least 18 years old, but there is no upper age limit.
