I feel very sad at the sight of Belapur Fort last day…
A fort built in 1570, by Sidhis of Janjira, conquered by Portuguese, Marathas and the British chronographically, and partially destroyed by the latter.
This historically significant fort is in great ignominy and negligence… And thus ruining away in a deserted forest like land around 5 km away from Belapur railway station, Mumbai, India.
When I found such a place in Google, tried to locate it with much difficulty as there are no sign boards, neither roads leading to it…
But even the existing remains of the fort tells of its glory and architectural brilliance…
