A Flavorful Stop in Kars: My Kosor Kebab Experience!

A Flavorful Stop in Kars: My Kosor Kebab Experience!

:round_pushpin: Kosor KebabKars, Türkiye

When I found myself in Kars, one of the things I was most curious about was the city’s meat culture. My experience at Kosor Kebab went beyond all expectations!
The meat was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. You can truly taste the difference—thanks to the animals raised naturally on the wide pastures of Kars.
The mezes were carefully prepared and very fresh; each one perfectly complemented the rich flavor of the meat.
The house-made ayran (a traditional yogurt drink) is a must-try! Thick, slightly salty, and so satisfying.

I’ve had kebabs in Erzurum before, but Kars surprised me with its generous portions and intense flavor. The size of the meat chunks (called “tike”) was also very satisfying.

This hidden gem in Kars absolutely deserves more recognition.

You’re welcome, my brother @christophesubilia . When Turkey comes, I’m definitely waiting for Çorum to taste the perfect flavors together. Turkey is hosting excellent flavors on gastronomy. What a mouthwatering experience @vahit.ipek

Your description truly brings the flavors of Kosor Kebab to life—especially the detail about the naturally raised meat and that thick, salty ayran. It’s great to hear Kars offers such a satisfying alternative to more well-known kebab hubs like Erzurum.

Were there any local sweets or desserts you tried after the meal to complete the experience?

We ate a little too much meat, there was no room for dessert @NandKK
But the desserts they make themselves are pretty pretty in them, I’m sure.
I’ll try sweet for you next time, brother.
Thank you for your beautiful words, your words made me happy:innocent::folded_hands::türkiye:
