Our recent trip to Mumbai turned into a memorable experience when we got the chance to visit Thane one day before the @Shrut19 tai meetup.
Special thanks to @ShubhamWaman who took us to the newly inaugurated Vitthal Murthy at Upvan Lake in thane.
We reached Ahilya Devi Holkar Upvan around seven in the evening, and the sight was simply magical. The entire area was glowing with decorative lights, even the streets leading to the lake were beautifully illuminated.
The grand celebration was in honor of the recently inaugurated 51-foot statue of Lord Vitthal, also known as Panduranga, the beloved deity of Maharashtra. It was inaugurated by CM of Maharashtra on friday 31st October. We got chance to witness this magnificent idol just a day after its inauguration.
Standing tall amidst the serene surroundings, the Vitthal Murthy looked breathtaking. Four beautifully designed Deepstamb surrounded the statue, adding to the divine ambiance. As the evening descended, the shimmering reflections on the lake made the entire view even more mesmerizing.
Upvan Lake itself is vast and peaceful, and to make the experience more delightful, a captivating laser show lights up the evening sky.
It’s beautiful place. Thane is really nice place to roam. All the photos are very beautiful. Thanks @DurgaK03 for sharing your experience here which added knowledge about this place.
