You have got the skills of capturing great photos! What inspired you starting this hobby of yours?
As you asked what places we would like to see photos of, I am curious to ask you if you have ever taken photos of people paragliding? I’ve heard that Cape Town is quite famous for paragliding and people practice this sport a lot. Are there any places that are famous about this?
Paragliding is very popular from Signal Hill , there are numerous companies that will sign you up. You can sign up on top of Signal hill from the Take Off spot.
Surfing is also popular , Hout Bay is a Bay still in the Cape Town Area , when a certain Deep sea swell comes into shore in Winter , a massive Wave Appears off the well known landmark called The Sentinel . The wave is 2 km off shore on a reef and has the name of dungeons . The wave is large and powerful and holds its riders who wipe off it down in the dungeons for ages
I must say that your photos look great, @Mongoose . What camera do you use to capture them?
It must be very thrilling to try paragliding, kite surfing and surfing. Have you ever dared to try some of these extreme sports? Have you ever seen the Sentinel and tried to photograph it?
I have been lucky enough to be able to go in a Gyrocopter for a Photoshoot . I was flown to Franschhoek and asked to take aerial photos of a famous wine farms manor house . On the way there and back i took loads of photos .
TAble Mountain in the Distance , I was in a Gyrocopter . ( A 2 man mini helicopter that is open all around one , a Bit like a Glider but with Helicopter Blades )
The views that open up in the sky are for sure breathtaking, @Mongoose ! How did you feel when you flying in the sky? Were you scared of dropping your camera?
P.S.: Just as a reminder, don’t forget when responding to others make sure to tag them (by writing @ before their names) in a post so they can receive notifications that you are communicating with them.
To be able to see all the Farmlands and surrounding areas of Cape Town , while you are sitting on a small chair , and a Massive Blade is chopping above your head and right behind you is a big spinning blade. You have to make sure that no shoe laces or anything can get sucked into the blades behind you …
The Dry Docks on the Waterfront. A few meters away tourists can enjoy the Aquarium , the Comedy Club is near by , and a Whole Warehouse of Organic goods , this dry dock is a working one and in the middle of the beautiful waterfront , it gives the whole ara great authenticity
