For twelve days in late December 2016 I was immersed in the luxury of Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas cruise ship. Imagine a mini-mall, multiple clubs, lounges, spa, concert hall, and much, much more floating gracefully in depths of an 18,000 foot sea, and you can get just a slice of what this ship had to offer. The food was fantastic with cuisines from all over the globe, and the amenities were overwhelmingly accommodating.
Our voyage took us to destinations like The Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, St. Barts , Haiti, and Puerto Rico. We experienced the bright colors and tropical delights of each island, and then set sail at night to make it to our next destination the following morning. This was absolutely the BEST vacation I have ever been on!
Wow… I’m absolutely blown away by your pictures! It seems that you had a wonderful time @Aj_Philadephia . I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise, but I’m still a bit scared if I have to be honest.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!
Love your synopsis of your cruise and the photos, @Aj_Philadephia! I was on the Allure as well in March 2017 and while there were a few things that I did not like, the majority of the cruise and the ship itself was so amazing. The vast size of the ship itself and the different “neighborhoods” made it one of my favorite cruises for sure. It was also awesome being able to zip line across the boardwalk too!
@KlaudiyaG I HIGHLY recommend going on a cruise. I’m not a good swimmer and I’m actually scared of the ocean too, but it is one of the best and most fun ways to see the world! ? I’m a huge fanatic now! Here are some of my photos from the same ship:
Hi @Aj_Philadephia . Thanks for sharing this post as I’m a huge fan of cruises, too! Since you explored the countries, do you have a few top places you can share with us so we can find and potentially save them on Google Maps?
Most of the places that I visited throughout my trip are already on Google Maps, such as Maho Beach and the Timothy Hill Overlook. If I think of something and do not see it on the map I will let you know!
I’m a pretty decent swimmer. I think that my fear comes from watching too many movies where the ship doesn’t make it in the end. But now, that I’m looking at yours and @Aj_Philadephia 's pictures I have to give it a whirl. So if given the chance I will definitely take it.
