One of the activities worth doing while visiting us in Sungai Pelek, Malaysia is a Boat Ride along the river of Sepang Besar. We board this small boat from Jeti Wak Sempuh and ride to the mouth of Sungai Sepang Besar, passing by a white sandy beach known by the local as Pasir Putih. This white sandy beach will only been seen during the low tide. Didn’t have the opportunity today to land on the white sandy beach as we passed by it during the high tide. Perhaps one day we will try to land there during the low tide and if possible, do some photo shoots!

The small boat that we rode above is his personal boat that he used to transport water, rations and other essential items from his Jetty to his Rumah Rakit (House Boat) along the river bank of Sepang Besar River. Thus, for a more comfortable ride that you can enjoy with a group of friends or your family, we recommend a ride on his bigger boat whom he named her My Moana. My Moana can take up until 10 passengers at a time and it will take about 45 minutes ride along the river of Sepang Besar. Do allow Skipper Jazzy Jeff entertains you with his stories about the river and how he enjoys his lifestyles at the river bank, showing you the beautiful nature of the mangrove forest along the river and its reserved little shy residents such as the beavers, eagles, monkeys, cranes and of course fishing experience. The price for the boat ride is RM150 for 5 people or less. Any additional passenger is charged at RM30 per pax.
