Well, I can see your disconcert, and honestly I have to admit that I had to ask for the translation of the “exploding head” too.
Looks like the translation is “mind blowing”, but for me, like for you, it is an exploding head, and it is difficult for me to give a “positive” attribute to that emoji. Maybe I am simply too old to understand them

It’s great for us contributors, I often feel encouraged to do more when I get notifications about someone liking my photos on Google Maps. It makes me want to contribute more.

Wow thanks for the update, I had seen but had doubt we can use or not.
But today only at Hyderabad meet up @TravellerG sir informed about Emoji we can use.
When ever I wrote on map the dish is yummy but never add Emoji .
only of accessibility 
this icon I add. .

I need to experience this feature
Looks like a great feature to add. Have seen “views” skyrocketing, but that’s a pretty arbitrary metric to gauge whether you are creating worthwhile reviews. This new change offers a more interactive way for maps users to engage!
