A Beautiful Sunset Photo for Ant

There are many things I see during the day that instantly reminds me of someone or something from our Community.

Like the day I passed by the Grand Venice Transit Apartments, an enthusiastic image of Ermes flashed through my mind.

**Ermes Tuon @ErmesT **(all the people who call him Ermest take note) and his beautiful and infectious Love for the floating city; Venice!

Grand Venice Transit Apartments instantly reminded me of Ermes and all the enchanting stories of Venice He had told me, it made me dreamy.

Today, I saw this beautiful Sunset  and it instantly reminded me of**Ant (Chananart Chivapruk) @Ant_Bad_Yogi **

Ant was one of the first people who initiated (for lack of a better word) me into this community, she introduced me to people and also to the ‘Monthly Topic series’ by Hiroyaki Takisawa.

I remember one day, Ant (as we all fondly call her) had come to me saying; “Ewaade, I have gone through your Profile on Connect and you have no Sunset Photos :open_mouth: , please take a Sunset Photo and share”.

Before I joined Connect, I never took notice of such things as a Beautiful Sunset, my view on life has changed since I joined this community.

I like how people in this community take out time to teach me things and educate me.

I love this shot, I hope you do as well.

Ant, this post is for you, it took so long, because I had to find a Sunset that is both soothing and reassuring.

May you have beautiful Sunsets and even better Sunrise and may you always be Happy.

Wow, @Ewaade_3A , thanks for this mention.

How do you know that I am a lover of Sunset and Sunrise too?

However, I prefer the “Feeling of sun” more than the direct photo of the sun. A couple of years ago a started a thread about this subject: Feeling of sun - How do you capture your sunset . Actually there are more than 350 replies, all with beautiful photos, for everyone to enjoy the feeling.

But, as you mentioned Venice, what about a few "not conventional vie of the sunset in the lagoon?

You are very much welcome @ErmesT

I saw three ‘huge threads’ of Sunrise and Sunset on Connect before typing!

People really love it!

We (many of us who are traditional) here use it as a marker of time, of when you should get up to work and when you should retire to sleep, not as something to be watched.

You know I am interested in the Nativity Scene Sunset’ photo, what is happening there.

The third photo is beautiful, it almost looks like the water is layered, one on another. Thank you for taking time out to share these photos with me

This is because, being close to the equator, you don’t have a lot of difference in daylight time during the year. In a northern or southern country you have a lot of difference. In Venice in December 21st we have 8 hour and 42 minutes of light, and in June 21st 15 hours and 42 minutes, @Ewaade_3A .

So we cannot really use the light as a reference to wake up or to go to sleep.

Yea. Now, I see why this Sunset and Sunrise is very precious to people on other sides of the world. Like @AsifAmirBhuyian was telling me about the situation in Sweden.

When you feel up to it, please let me know more about that shot, is the Nativity scene on the Lagoon itself because I see some reflection or what exactly is it @ErmesT ? I see so many figures and I am wondering; what’s happening?

Although we have marked differences too, that are very noticeable during the

Harmattan/Dry season and the

Rainy Season.

We refer to them as ‘Longer days and shorter nights’ and vice versa, it also depends on the part of the country one lives in.

Like; in a place like Ajaokuta, surrounded by stretches upon stretches of mountains, it is almost always dark! While in Maiduguri which is a stretch of endless arid land, the hours of daylight are longer.

I believe the hours of Sunlight a place receives is influenced by its Geographical location and Topography among other things @ErmesT

Nice shot @Ewaade_3A . Sun set or sunrise times are very distinguish to a human feel and health. Those times relax the humans tension thinking of the day and calm down a quiet contemplating . Plus the beautiful amazing view that you don’t fed up keep looking at the sunset or sunrise :sunrise_over_mountains: .

I replied.to you here during a sunrise time in.my area haha.

In fact nature has it’s own beauty to share with us everyday, there is always something around that gives peace and makes you feel connected to nature.

Hey, this girl, how do you always manage to understand and read me so well? Friendship with you is beautiful, reassuring and soothing maybe because it is natural, Falguni Paleja :grinning: !

I captured this for the exact reason you just said! A Sunset :city_sunrise: set over such Greenery was too stunning to be ignored!

To whom it may concern, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You did not say that to me on a Post, Ant, you said that to me on Whatsapp.

This is shared for you, that was why I made a Postcard of it and sent to you :grinning: .

So, you can have a copy.

Take care @Ant_Bad_Yogi

Ahahah. Now, see the assignment you want to give me. Now, I have to look for ‘cotton in the cloud’ and if everyone asks me now, I have to say, “it’s for my Falguni” :grinning: @FalguniP

Lagos is not the most environmental-friendly place, you know?

So, if people see you doing these things they will stop and stare like; is this person okay?

If I had a 360 camera yesterday, I would have captured the stares (I got) of people while trying to capture this beautiful Sunset. :grinning: :grinning:

If I manage to go to Calabar in Cross-River state or Akwa-Ibom before the year runs out, I will capture so many cotton clouds for you, you will almost choke on it. Those are the two States in Nigeria closest to Lilian’s @Lily_Asongfac country of Cameroon and two of the most environmental-friendly places in Nigeria.

Ahahh, A Sunrise time is Prayer time, did you manage to catch a Photo? @OSAMA_1

Thank you for sharing this very thoughtful comment with me, Osama :grinning: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
