Hello guys,
This is my first post, and what could be better than starting it with the name of GOD and writing about GOD? Interesting, isn’t it?
So let’s get started.
Yesterday, I visited the iconic temple in Udaipur the Jagdish Mandir, located at jagdish chowk in the old city of Udaipur. The name of this area is famous from the lord vishnu (Jagdish) itself, so named jagdish chowk.
Currently, there is a 7 days Vishnu Mahayagya (a great ritual) is going on, as you can see in the photos attached.
This is a very holy ritual for all Hindus.
It involves chanting Jai jagdish Hare mantras, performing agni havan, and some ancient Vedic practices by the temple priests, making it truly sacred.
With that, the place was so well lit up that it felt like Diwali decoration, the lights and decorations are stunning.
If you’re in Udaipur or live nearby or planning to visit Udaipur this week, you must visit the Jagdish Mandir.
Thank you!

Excellent first post, dear @ronakmehta
All photos are good, especially taking photos at night is challenging.
Did you miss sharing the photo of the temple itself?
I have visited here too.
And remember those elephant carvings in the top photo
I covered those in my post here.

Hey @TusharSuradkar thank you for the appreciation,
I’ve taken photos of the highlight of the place that day due to the Mahayagya. Otherwise, I visit the temple often just for darshan, otherwise the mandir is crafted amazing, and there is also a mandir of Banke Bihari Ji, I’ll cover that on some other day.

hey @RosyKohli yes this is a very holy ritual that is happening, and sure, if I’m visiting the temple and there’s a live havan happening, I’ll definitely share the photos.
The mandir has ramp but that is from the other side, the side of banke bihari mandir. I’ll share the photo as well when I’ll visit next time.
