7 Behind the scenes of engaging coffee pics.

As a Level 8 Local Guide, I know where to find the best cafe in Seoul. I love to share photos took in the cafe and I’d like to share some of the best photos I have taken and the behind-the-scenes secret tips with you.

1. Take pictures in a well-lit environment

light is everything in a photoshoot. try to take pictures in a well-lit environment.

2. Use a tripod in a poorly-lit environment

If you have to shoot in a poorly lit environment, use tripods to capture enough light.

3. Try various compositions

try birdseye view, top-down, side view to capture the drinks in the best angle.

4. Leverage the items near you

leverage items near you and place them in your compositions. This job will make more engaging photo

5. place the hand near drinks.

Placing a hand/hands in the compositions make the photo more engaging. also will add a more human touch to the photo as well.

6. Reveal the main ingredients

highlight the main ingredients of the special drinks. e.g. avocado drinks, hot chocolate,

7. Try macro shots.

try macro shots for details. up-close shots will deliver focused subjects.

Try to take a picture in a cafe with these tips. Good luck with the photos!

First step…find amazing cups of coffee!

Love the tips, @SoonB ! what are some of your favorite coffee drinks?

Thanks, @JordanSB !

My favorite coffee is iced americano, which is the best option in the summertime.

But for fancy coffee photos, I prefer the cafe lattes with lovely latte art or iced lattes with separation of shots and milk.

Let me know your favorites, too

@SoonB , my favorite cold weather drink is a latte or a flat white. In the summer, I do cold brew coffee or iced coffee with no cream or sugar. Very refreshing with good quality beans.
