7 Affordable Restaurants in Baguio City

7 Affordable Restaurants in Baguio City

1.) 50’s Diner

If you love eating out in a themed restaurant, 50’s Diner would top, as the name suggest the restaurant is filled with mementos from the 50’s. Neon lights, movie posters and even the waitresses costume are delight for the eyes. The menu are affordable and truly replicate American fast food diners. The meal proportions are huge, from the fried chicken meals, to burger and pizzas, it’s difficult to finish the meal alone. Even the drinks too, milkshakes, frappes and iced teas are served in tall glasses, definitely a bang for your buck. Of course, everything taste delicious. They have plenty of parking space. They have two branches, one in Military Cut-off and the second is in Porta Vaga Mall.

2.) Good Taste

Yes, it taste good and surprisingly cheap too. With a blend of Filipino and Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is always busy filled with casual diners. It’s almost a household name - if you’re hungry this restaurant would always come to mind. The servings are huge, a lot of locals celebrate birthdays, parties and reunions here. Very spacious, plenty of tables and they have free parking too. They are famous for their buttered fried chicken - a must try! Currently they have two branches, first in Centermall, second in Carino Street near Burham.

3.) Bruno’s Restaurant

Almost the same with Good Taste but the menu is exclusive Filipino dishes. They serve plenty of meat in their dishes, my favorite is their crispy sinigang, the pork is fried first then they top it off with sinigang soup and vegetables. Most of their dish are fried or at least partially fried then added with some soup or sauce, so a lot of the dishes taste similar. They have parking space too, though limited. Located at Kennon Road, MMC Centerpoint.

4.) Cathy’s Restaurant

Restaurant old as time, food as old as rhyme, Cathy’s Restaurant. One of the oldest restaurant in Baguio, famous for their buttered garlic chicken. The place looks very homey, you’ll see patrons usually senior citizens who grew up with the restaurant. Though not as popular for young diners, it’s a hidden gem located at Diego Silang Street. Servings are plenty, especially the chicken. They don’t have parking space, suitable for walk-in dining.

5.) Jack’s Restaurant

Similar style to Goodtaste and almost similar menu, they’re top rivals in local fast food. Jack’s is smaller in terms of venue, but they have 4 branches. I can’t differentiate the taste but it’s also one of the original and oldest restaurants in Baguio. They are famous for Jack’s rice consisting of fried chicken, chopsuey, pork cuts, fried egg and rice.

6.) Studio Coffee

Cheap and huge servings. Ambience is dark and modern but the food were colorful and wide assortment of food. A mix of different cuisines, Mexican, Amarican, Chinese, Japanese and FIlipino. Noodles, burger, pizza there’s just so much to try. Located at Leonard Wood Street.

7.) Grumpy Joe

Pasta, chicken, fries and burgers and other snacks. Big servings. I love their pizza it’s oozing with cheese. Everything is just overloaded. Nachos are cheesy too. Combo meals are recommended. Located at Leonard Wood Street, just beside Studio Coffee . They recently renovated to cater to growing number of diners. Parking space is limited and most of the time there is queue before you’ll be seated.

So there you have it, my seven tried and tested affordelicous resto around Baguio City! If you know any restaurant I can add just comment, I’ll appreciate it.
