2. Does the BLR metro go to this temple? - that would make it super easy to reach.

Yes, I have visited both the places. When I went there earlier, the metro was not available.
Now, with the new Yellow Line metro, you can travel up to Bommasandra, and from there take a bus or auto to reach this place, which is around 7 km away. @TusharSuradkar
