I can’t believe how quickly time flies but we’re down 8 days in May already and as part of my “30 days, #30Reviews” challenge, which you can find out more here, I’ve done 8 reviews of numerous places that I am happy to share here.

So the mini back story to this week is that I’ve been off work. In Malaysia, we had public holidays on Monday to Wednesday (Labour Day and Hari Raya/Eid) and then I took annual leaves on Thursday and Friday so it’s been such a delight to be off work and not having to think about work emails! I took the opportunity to do some travelling in Johor Bahru, which is the city centre of the state of Johor and I also explored the East coast beaches of Desaru. Hence, you’ll see a couple of hotels that I stayed at. I’ve visited more places than I’ve mentioned here but that’ll most likely be my Week 2 reviews
. So do stay tune next week to find out which other places I have visited and how I’ve rated them.
I have also created a public list on Google Maps which you can access here, and I hope that you and the public will find it interesting.
And here are some screenshots of my reviews and I’ve thrown in some photos for some good measure too… just to hook you in to reading the rest of my reviews. If you like my reviews and do find them useful, feel free to give it a Like on Google Maps too.
As you can see, I have a specific style to writing my reviews. I would like to think that it is a useful style because I break down the overall rating into different categories and rate them separately. So, the overall rating is the average of all the individual ratings. I just feel like it gives users a better sense of what and how I’ve reviewed the place.
Anyway, that is my first week of reviews. It took me half a day just to get them all done, edit my photos, upload them to Google Maps etc but it’s a nice distraction to have. I hope that you’ve enjoyed going through my reviews. Did you write any reviews this past week? If so, do share them in the comments below (or in your own post if you feel you have a lot to share i.e. adding photos, map links, background history etc). It would be super fun to find out how you are all writing your reviews; do you have a method, what do you normally focus on, do you have any tips? And don’t forget to use the #30Reviews tag in your post and tag me too! Thanks and happy reviewing!
