Recently I travelled to Srirangam from Chennai. It was a 3 day trip. Called as temple town of Tamilnadu, I got to visit 3 major temples.
Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Srirangam (Divya Desam)

First temple we visited on first day was Sri Ranganathar temple. Devoted to Lord Vishnu who is seen in Anantha sayanam pose, His consort is Ranganayaki Tayar, for whom separate shrine is laid. It takes about 2 hours to worship the whole temple. Battery cars are available for commutation within the temple premises.

Second popular temple we visited on second day was Thiruvanaikaval Jambukeswarar Akilandeshwari temple. Devoted to Lord Shiva going inside a cave from where below water is seen, Akilandeshwari Mata is His consort. We purchased special ticket, and it takes one hour to worship the whole temple. From Srirangam in about 11mts distance this temple is located.
Arulmigu Mariyamman Thiru Kovil

Third temple visited on third day was Samayapuram Mariamman temple. From Srirangam 20mts away via Tiruchirappalli Tindivanam highway is this temple. Devoted to Goddess who takes the form of Mariamma here, belief is those with eyes problem get cured by worshipping her. There are online tickets available for special darshan, while battery cars operate from entrance till ticket counter.
Beyond these 3 temples, we visited Sringeri Math temple, Gaudiya math temple and small small Sri Ganesh temple based on time constraint. An unforgettable memorable, spiritual trip of the year.
