24 Feb World Print Day/जागतिक मुद्रण दिवस

Have u ever wonder what would happen if there were no printing machines.
Back in old days when printing machines were not there if we need to make a copy of some thing we need to rewrite the same matter for no of times to make same no of copy.

To solve this problem Johannes Gutenberg invented the Movable type of printing. Every year 24 February is celebrated as World Printing Day. He is known as the father of printing.

In this paper, ink and printing images were used as the equipment.

Ink is applied to the engraved text (type) and wet paper was placed on it to create printing impression.

Types (case with all alphabets)

This art of printing came to India in 1556 at Goa by Portugal and in Maharashtra in 1882. in Maharashtra they used Devnagari script nails(type).

Thanks to this printing machine it solved many problems and save lots of time.

Getting a chance to see a manual printing machine today is incredible.
Excellent photos and labels for local guides @Ru_pali4
I’d love to have these unique LG prints :+1:

The last time I saw these was in a small printing press in Sillod, back in 1985.
Exciting to see this museum stuff - still in use

Until 1997, I had my publications printed at a manual printing press similar to the one shown in your post, located in Kanpur. It was a tough task at that time, but they always printed without any errors based on my experience. Great! Thank you for sharing, @Ru_pali4 :bouquet::bouquet: Congratulations for your discovery

Thanks @Annaelisa. Now paper are printed on advance printing machines. With multiple colors at a time. This is old once and used to be printed in single color only.
