I’d like to add some more info about what we were able to do in just 78 days because was really incredible.
For those who are interested to look at some impressive figures (like 237 roads approved per day for 78 days in a row) here can find ALL data about this running campaign.
What to say, @SholaIB ? I am speechless, excited and happy. Happy because I’m seeing how the Community contributed in this campaign, managing to reach the goal in about half the expected time. It’s true that @Lukas_1 , @MarcoDavoli and I added more or less but half of the contributions, but the other half was added by the rest of the community, and we reached the target in half the time. Therefore the target would have been reached anyway, even without the contributions of the three of us.
This makes me happy, because it means that we worked well, and that those who arrived later didn’t have to learn everything from scratch. This is Connect, we can learn from the experience of those who share their experience with us, and today’s results are here to prove it. So well done, well done everyone. Today marked a milestone of what a group can do.
Tell everyone, tell everyone that by working together we can change the world, because this is what happened here.
When I started I was alone telling stories, writing about how we could add roads. Now we are a much larger number. Why don’t we tell the story of the experience, so as to add others to our journey?

I’ll continue for a while longer, as this is moving me steadily towards Level 9, but the new habit has been formed and I don’t think i will actually stop altogether.
@ErmesT - What am I, chopped liver (I don’t know the Italian equivalant to this idiom)? I put in over 10,000 roads to this campaign, I would expect a slight nod

When I wrote that response to @tony_b I didn’t yet know that the goal had been achieved, but it seemed right to mention those who had achieved such a great result in such a short time.
More than three and a half years have passed since Google Maps activated the road editor on my account. I was alone, I had no instructions on how to proceed, I didn’t know if the way I added roads was right or wrong. I didn’t even know if I could talk about it publicly, so I waited more than two months before writing my first post, spending time learning from my mistakes. It took me seven months to add a thousand roads (now it takes me four/five days), then five to reach two thousand, then six to reach three thousand. At that moment I decided to do an analysis, and to share my experience and advice with others, to ensure that others did not have to redo my journey starting from scratch. This too is creating a road, a road that others could follow to achieve incredible results faster than me.
This is why I couldn’t help but remember you and @PrasadVR , and the great results you are achieving.
Seeing what we have done in three months makes me happy, and also proud that I wanted to try to help who started after me.
