15 points from Level 2

Hello everyone

Over recent days I have been doing a bit of checking on profiles and during this process, I’ve started seeing quite a few Maps profiles that, as in the example shown below, suggest that the Local Guide has made no contributions. Given that the Local Guides profiles that I have checked were previously at some higher Local Guide level, this suggests that all of their contributions have been lost, hidden or perhaps deleted. Or is there perhaps some other explanation

If this has happened to you, especially if you are a participant on the Leaderboards, then do add a comment below.

Interesting and thanks for the heads up @AdamGT.

So far, I never saw that for my profile. Meanwhile, I do the check my Maps data with anonymous and Scout daily. The last time just a minute ago:

I was at level 10 and now I’m at 9. Also actual reviews count is not appearing.

Anyways, no problem with it as long as you have conviction that you are following fair practice

Yes it is interesting but very strange @WilfriedB. I’ve seen at least half a dozen today! Just imagine how much better, easier and more efficient it would be to do the type of offline analysis that you are doing, if Google implemented the “Download my data” idea.

Good practice is very important @aaryesdee and hopefully you have an acceptable reason why you dropped from Level 10 to 9. What’s strange in the cases I’m talking about in this post is a drop from say Level 10 to 1. It’s clearly not a suspension from the Local Guides program so what is it?

… a failure of one or more, but not all servers …?

It would be interesting to know @WilfriedB for now everyone should check there Maps profiles because it really surprised me today with the number that I came across. Let’s wait and see who, if anyone, jumps in here.

@WilfriedB - where do you get the data your tracking? Are you loading it manually?

@StefanKowalewski I use the T100 Scout of the Top 100 Local Guides Site which @AdamGT provided for the monthly update of Maps data. It writes a JSON to the clipboard and I wrote a little Python script to convert that to CSV, which I paste daily into my spreadsheet.

This is a bug @AdamGT
