I’m still humbly in the middle of the pack on the Star PhotosLeaderboard, but I’m plenty stoked that my questionably framed photo has been of some use to so many Maps users checking out Luna Park at Coney Island, NY.
Thank you very much, @Kumaarsantosh. The photo is definitely not one that I’d have framed in my house, but you never know what might be deemed useful and turned into a Star
This reminds me of those beach paintings. @JustJake, your humility never ceases to amaze me. The photo may not be perfectly framed or picturesque, yet, it still holds realism with the interpretation of our objective reality. It’s a star photo for a reason! Great job!
Or I’m just too nice and you hit the algorithm perfectly that day! Either way, congratulations!
Wow, @JustJake — 13 million views is absolutely incredible!
That’s not just a milestone, it’s a real impact. Your photo has clearly helped so many people get a feel for Luna Park before they even set foot there.
Thanks for leading by example and showing how every Local Guide contribution counts — sometimes in the millions!
Out of curiosity, do you remember what made you snap that particular shot in the first place?
Thanks for checking out my post! I took the picture from the Wonder Wheel, the big Ferris Wheel at Luna Park. I’d venture a guess that millions of photos have been taken from the same spot over the decades. I just happened to upload mine and got lucky
Thank you, Tony. I’m sorry you’re still in the photo view lockdown. Have you done a “Takeout” and downloaded your data to see if the counts are different on the back end? I believe @WilfriedB described that trick.
