Nearly 100 Local Guide superstars joined us in Lagos last Saturday for our first Connect Live pop-up event of 2019. During the event, we shared the many ways Local Guides in Lagos are making a positive impact in their communities through their contributions on Google Maps.
One important way is through the helpful photos they share. Some are passionate about helping others discover great places to eat by snapping food photos. Others enjoy capturing the beauty of nature around them. Other Local Guides never pass up the opportunity to show the fun experiences Lagos has to offer.
Collectively, Connect Live Lagos attendees have uploaded more than 89,000 photos on Maps and have over 146 million photo views. To celebrate some of the amazing contributions they’re making on Maps, we’re sharing some of their best photos here on Connect.
Tell us which one is your favorite in the comments below!
What an awesome contribution from Lagos local guides. I really like the photo of “Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria by Local Guide Oluwakemi Ajao, Level 6”. The photographer used leading lines to take the viewer’s attention all around the photo. Using chairs as the foreground of the image, he was able to give a good depth to the photo. very impressive!!
My favorite is the Close-up photo of a black and white butterfly on a red flower by (Sayi Olawoyin) … That photo is breath taking, the picture was so detailed, focusing on the butterfly and the red flower which make the picture so unique
Hi @AriMar thank you for sharing these beautiful photos, congratulations to these Top Local Guides really for the amazing shootings
My favorite photo is the one showing the wooden pathway surrounded by greenery at Lekki Conservation Centre by Local Guide Sagir Adamu. Apart from its beautiful colors, It communicates and inspires a positive path to pursue to all of us.
@AriMar beautiful photo collection. I’m proud to be a part of this community. Local Guides are great and creative. They always see the beauty of the world in different angle.
