1 day in Tallinn. Where to go? by @artyZ

Tallinn is the capital city of Estonia and a perfect destination if you want to combine visit to capitals of Baltic countries during one trip. You will find here the comforts of modern world, versatile nightlife and adventures with cultural scene in the local historical setting. However historical center is quite compact, thus 12 hours is enough to get decent impressions.

First established in the early medieval era, today’s Tallinn is an exciting mix of old and new. The Old Town is one of the best preserved Hanseatic town centres in the Europe. Tallinn is the first point of entry to Estonia, and if you’re the kind of person who likes to jump right in, then you’re in luck, as Tallinn city centre is never more than 15-minutes drive away regardless of if you happen to arrive by plane, train, coach or ferry.

I came there by ferry from Helsinki, Finland. The trip took only 2.5 hours by comfortable ferry with cafe and restaurants.

Here is list of attractions, cafe and restaurants in Tallinn for GoogleMaps.

Tallinn holds a special spot in my heart. The people were welcoming and the rooftop views were amazing.

I was pleasantly surprised by Tallinn, because my expectations were quite low. But everything was fine!
