Jesi is one of the youngest Connect Moderators and is highly involved in various accessibility campaigns and environmental meet-ups.

Aside from regularly sharing stunning photos and videos, this Sustainability Star has created posts for World Recycling Day.

When trying new restaurants in Buenos Aires, Jesi is sure to review the delicious vegan options on the menu, guiding others to the best plant-based businesses with over 70 Google Maps lists of plant-based pizza and empanada places, ice cream parlors (again plant-based), and sights worth seeing in Argentina and beyond.

What is your favorite place, experience, photo or video you contributed to Google Maps this year?
Shiba Caffé: I went there because of the name and storefront. I was going to another cafe but this one really caught my attention, so I quickly checked the place on Google Maps to make sure it didn't have bad ratings. I was very excited when I found very little info (and some good reviews). I love to add reviews and info to new spots like this one. It was a great experience as the food was delicious and plant based - which I'm trying to eat more of - and immediately went to my favorites list. I usually research food spots on Google Maps, but this was amazing.

What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
Contribute even in the "smallest" ways, it all helps. If you want, set small goals to motivate you. It's fun to consider Local Guides a game, but try not to get too deep into winning points and remember that quality matters. Be careful and have fun adding useful content! Also, if you haven't already, join the community and post on Local Guides Connect! I really felt like I had been missing out on half of the program when I discovered it. It's awesome to find like-minded people around the world, read their posts, and write your own. It really opens your mind and helps you learn a lot about great ways to contribute and about the world in general.

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
How helpful everyone is. People are helpful to new members, new meet-up hosts, and to Local Guides that are learning something new. It feels great to help as well as it feels very welcoming when others help you. I feel like everyone is very open to both sharing and learning about plenty of subjects, like Google Maps, Connect, photography, and accessibility.

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
I really think a place is worth reviewing when I want to give some extra info and recommendations about the place that I would have liked to know before going. I find it worthwhile to rate or review when the place had something that caught my attention, because I just want people to know how good (or bad) the place is, or because it's a popular place but I have a different opinion than what others have said. If there are already a lot of reviews saying the same thing I would write, or the place was just "okay" and I can't think of anything special about it, I tend to not think it's worth reviewing.

What is your favorite feature of Google Maps?
Lists! I love them and use them all the time. And also the features that let us add info about accessibility and different dietary needs as I think those are extremely helpful. I know from first hand experience that vegan lists can help find great plant based restaurants and make it easier to eat more vegetables and transition to a plant based lifestyle, or to one with a lower carbon footprint.
