Hi everyone
i am planning a first oversea trip for this year these days and i heard Harishchandragad is a good place for site seeing / hiking. i havent been to this place so i would like to get some help & advises from indian local guide community
hope someone will answer these questions
1. when is the best time to visit Harishchandragad area?
2. is the area suitable for 3 day camping?
3. how about the weather ? raining or?
4. Do i need to get any specific clearance / permissions to fly a drone in this area?
5. Do i need to get any permission for camping?
FYI : am coming from Sri Lanka and expecting to visit during april / may. so as a foreigner i have zero knowledge about this area. hope someone will help me out planning this 🙂

Here is the answers for your questions.

>> Best time to visit Harishchandragad area will be Oct to Jan
2. is the area suitable for 3 day camping?
>> No
3. how about the weather ? raining or?
>> Oct to Jan will be winter season in India and thats why it's best time to travel.
4. Do i need to get any specific clearance / permissions to fly a drone in this area?
>> Yes. you have to take prior permission of Archaeologist Department of India

5. Do i need to get any permission for camping?
Generally, I have not seen anyone doing camping there.

Please postpone Your plan to November, December or January because November to January is winter season here.
The temperature in April and may Reach up to 42 to 45℃. This is summer season and heat is at its high point in April and May.
You will need permission for Drone Shooting.
I'm not sure about 3 days camping.
I'll give you More info about this place and local treks.
