If you don't want to drive too far, go to Red Rock Canyon. It's about 20 miles off the strip, but absolutely incredible landscapes.
If you don't mind a bit more of a drive, the Spring Mountains are so beautiful this time of year. Kyle Canyon is about 35 miles from the strip.
My favorite place is called Cold Creek. That's where the heard of wild horses tends to be. It's a bit further than Kyle Canyon, perhaps 50 miles from the strip. I can give you more detail if you have any other questions. Enjoy!
