Undiscovered Treasures of Eastern Europe

Hello eveyrone!

In this article/travel rewiew I wanted to share with you some hidden gems from my recent trip to  East Europe / Baltic States.

Some places and surroundings in those countries, especally in Lattvia and Lithuania are truly surrealistic and

may shake your whole world !! :. After India, these countries are now my favourite exotic travel destination!

Here, I´m trying to give you a glimpse of totally different era that excisted under the Soviet occupation

( during the period from liberation from Germans 1945 up to perestoijkas arrival  with Mikael Gorbathev in the beginning of 1990´s).

The borders against western world remained totally closed for decades.  Soviet leaders had successfully  managed to adapt the system and created their own "state within the state" giving the inhabitants no choice neighter to see or compare the with the life outside. ( the concept of "iron curtain").

As your local guide here in East Europe, I´m really excited now to "break in"  and give you the experience that still lasts,

despite the indepencence and freedom in those countries!  Older population stongly relates to the occupation period and

is so obviously not happy over the changes in societly ....

Just to mention, I look like a Russian and I speak also the language perfeclty ( Russian is still fluently used parallel to with local languages Latvian and Lithuanian) . So what can be more interesting than to blend in with locals and become "one of them"?

To observe the daily life undisturbed. To interact with locals 100%.

I´m giving you the insights of daily life and environment in 2 Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, the capital and Kaunas).

I really hope it will take your breath away , just like like it was for me! 🙂

And my crazy East European accent & spelling mistakes will definitely make you laugh :)!!

Please feel free to post your feedback, comments and suggestions!
