Shato Kopsa - delight for the senses and the soul

Chateau Kopsa is a unique site for Bulgaria located amid the vineyards at the foot of the Balkan Mountains. The feeling of a castle is guaranteed by the luxury and the originality of the interior. It is 140 km away. from Sofia towards Bourgas, passing through the sub-Balkan road line. If you decide to use the Trakia highway after the trip to Plovdiv you have to turn to Karlovo. About 20 km. after Karlovo in the direction of Sofia, there is a trip to the village of Bogdan and Shato Kopsa.

          

Shato Kopsa is a family winery. Following the basic rule that the good wine is from a well-watched vineyard, the Minkovi family developed the tradition passed down in their genre for several generations and created their remarkable wines.

The elegant building of the castle rises on a hillside in the vineyards, where, under natural conditions, it is the cellar for aging. Its own grounds are 50 hectares, divided between five grape varieties - the unique Bulgarian red Мisкet, Мuscat Оttonel, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Chateau Kopsa is one of the few family cellars in Bulgaria, which not only owns vineyards to make their wines, creates and bottles their wines in their own winery but also controls the process from the vineyard to create the finished product, which is a guarantee of quality.

      

Chateau Kopsa has 4 double rooms and 1 apartment, spread over 250 sq. M. Each of the rooms is decorated in different styles and colors of the interior. The restaurant has seats for 60 people, has an original, open-plan kitchen, suitable for gourmet tasting and a demonstration of the culinary skills of the chef. The restaurant does not offer food on a standard menu but only dishes of seasonal and guaranteed fresh produce. Upon prior request, game dishes are also available.

A talk about the culprit with the technologists of the Kopsa wine cellar and a visit to the wine cellar in Klisura - according to a preliminary agreement, is not paid extra.
