The town of Koprivshtitsa is located in Western Bulgaria. It is located in the heart of Sredna Gora. The Stone Bridge First shotgun - here is the first shot of a rifle that marks the beginning of the April uprising.

Oslekova House - you could hardly expect a baroque in Koprivshtitsa, but the house of the trader Nencho Oslekov was built in this style. Since 1956, it houses the Ethnographic Museum.
The Apriltsi mausoleum-ossuary was built in memory of those who died in the April Uprising in 1876. At the bottom of the monument, the bones of the victims were kept, and a small chapel was built in the upper part of the monument.
For a truly memorable visit to Koprivshtitsa, be in the city for the annual restoration of the April Uprising or for the feast of the Assumption Church on August 15th.

Thanks for taking the time to write this post and promote Bulgaria and Koprivshtitsa. The photos you added to the post are nice and very descriptive of the region.
When I have foreign guests I always take them to Koprivshtitsa and Rila Monastery.
