Hello guys, here are some tips for those who fly to Köln.
I'd really appreciate if you add yours in the comments.
On the airport
- The airport is modern and big. I don't like its layout and usualy I did't feel comfortable until sitting infront of the gate.
- At the gates however, there are various shops all around and that is fine.
- The security check is very flexible. They always open new lines when it gets crowdy. It takes always some time but never too much.
Transport
- The most convenient way to get on the airport is by train which connect the whole region pretty tightly
- Taxis, Uber and car rental services are all at your disposal
- Germany started recently the national bus service so there's a better chance to get into areas that are not on the rails
