Chorat lake is located 10 km from Chorat village between Sari and Kaysar in Mazandaran province of Iran. The lake is 350 km far from Tehran in the forests of Chorat village in the district of Chardangie, Sari, 50 km south of the city. The size of the lake is about 2.5 hectares. The lake is also called Chorat Lake, due to its proximity to the Chorat Village.
The lake was created in 1940 as a result of earthquake and landslide, followed by the closure of the eye-laced waterway located next to the lake. When water cuts, the emergence of the remains of trees that appear at the site of the lake creates a special landscape. The lake is located in the slot of a gradient door and is surrounded by pristine forest and old trees round the lake. The geometric shape of the lake is elliptically shaped and its depth varies according to seasonal rainfall. Fish on the lake have been thrown by the locals to the lake.

Beautiful place, which would not be if the earthquake/landslide did not happen?
Your photos are particularly good here @Rezgar because you caught awesome reflections in the lake.
Thank you!
