Sights in Ukraine: Kamianets-Podilskyi fortress

Good day to all! One of the most famous tourist places in Ukraine is the castle in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The fortress was made of wood. All the wooden buildings of the fortress were rebuilt in stone in the XVI century. Since that time, the Kamianets-Podilskyi fortress has acquired its modern look. The medieval fortress was used as a scenery for two feature films. Also the Old town of Kamianets-Podilskyi with the fortress hosts various festivals and events every year.Kamianets-Podilskyi fortress was considered almost invincible.

According to the old legend, the Turkish Sultan Osman asked who was the founder of the city. Locals said that it was founded by God Himself. Osman said that the God can take city, and abandoned the conquest.In my posts
