Thanks for sharing the photos, @Louie_Abhi. It must have been such a wonderful view at dusk. Did you take a boat out to see the statue of the Gautama Buddha? Please tell us more about the significance of this lake and the majestic statue of the Buddha! 🙂

Hi @JeslynL,

This statue of Buddha is a monilith, in-fact it's world's tallest monolith statue of Gautama Buddha. We have to take boat to go there. 

This statue was finished in 1990 and while installing it, it fell into the lake killing 10 workers. Two years later i.e. in 1992 it was pulled out and installed successfully.
