How to guide people to enjoy and preserve nature via our contributions

As local guides we travel all over the places and try our best to capture the most stunning views and embed them with our experiences to get other people know about what we went through. Sharing the exact experience is what we focus as we believe everyone will behave as we did. But it is not the same always. You might be a person who concern on enjoying a nice waterfall and publishing its beauty for all to see expecting everyone who would visit the place will enjoy it and preserve it for others who come back. But everyone doesn't act like that. Recently in Sri Lanka a hype for travelling came up with viral promoting of camping sites and places in social media. With that different type of people started visiting well preserved natural locations and started polluting them. Noticing that the government authorities had to ban some locations for visitors.

As I see this is mainly due to improper way of communicating the value of such places via social media. So as local guides what I believe is other than just reviewing such places we should additionally let the world know how we should preserve them and how we should visit such places without doing harm to such Eco systems. Such that our aim should be directing people to explore the world but in the right way.

Let here know what do you think.  🙂
