My mom took us to the Eno as kids and always had a blast! Free, surrounded by wonders of nature, splashing and swimming during hot summer vacations and pinics are very fond memories. I've continued the tradition with my daughter. She, friends, family and I have been more times than in can count to Roxboro Rd location and Cole Mill Rd location, which is my favorite with its high cliffs and river hugging trails. A nature's lovers paradise in the middle of bustling Durham. Beautiful, prestine, quiet and calming you think woodland fairy will dart out at any minute. Perfect outing for got summer days with it's cool canopy of leaves and a dip in the rivers waters. Spring is especially beautiful with all trees and flowers blooming, all around lush green. Perfect for a family day outing, picnic areas and restrooms at both locations. Leashed dogs are welcome, taken my pugs for many walks. The eno is one of my favorite places in Durham. Each year Durham celebrates Festival at the Eno at Roxobor Rd location with live music, food and wares from local vendors, activities for kids and much more. Attached link gives info, directions, etc about the river. First few pics are of Roxboro Rd with it's Grist Mill, rest are off Cole Mill Rd.
