I recently had the idea to submit aerial photos of businesses to google maps as a different perspective. Many times things have changed since the last satellite images or the satellite images do not give enough detail of places on the ground. Other times the drone images just make for a cool and different visual perspective on businesses or other places of interest. Have many other Local Guides been doing this?
I think there is so much potential with 360 degree photos and video that this is another area I am really interested in. I am building a website devoted to fitness videos shot in 360 degrees and I am thinking about how best to tie it into Google MAps. The reason is that the videos are going to be like bike riding, running/walking and hiking. The idea is to view them through a VR headset while you are on a treadmill or stationary bike so you can escape the boredom of exercising within 4 walls. I think it is a neat concept 🙂
