Its a nice camera, but it does not take true 360X360 video. Only 360X240.

@RobMulally I am considering purchasing the Samsung 360. Do you have much experience?

I would still keep creating your photo spheres with your DSLR rig......you can not beat the quality of the final image that you are able to produce. Weather it be a big job or a low budget job quality has always been first and most important photography. just a thought.

Really all depends on what you are trying to capture. Right tool for the right job as they say.
For static scenes your correct you will get higher quality with better camera/optics but for a moving scene something like 360fly that is able to capture 360 degree in the horizontal at once is the only solution if you want to avoid stitching artifacts which will be unavoidable with moving subjects. For example, tell me of another camera out there that can capture a bird flying around the sky like in my video without having it disappear and reappear and other strange things happen to it as it crosses the sky?

I have bought a Samsung Gear 360 and the results are poor: stitching is visible, the exposure is different for each lens and the resolution is poor.
It is easy to use, but I can take higher quality pictures with my Samsung S7 phone.
Now I am waiting for a Samyang fisheye lens to use with my Olympus camera. Hopefully I will manage to make some quality photospheres with this combination.

I'm thinking about using the Samyang Lens... for my NX Camera.
I believe the lens comes in 2 versions so make sure you get the 2nd one (UMC II)

Compare Samsung Gear 360 with Olympus OM D-10 + Samyang 7.5mm. Two photospheres taken at the exact same location with different equipment:

Thanks for sharing YannisS - You can defo tell on the quality.
Question - How did you add your logo on the Nadir Portion of the image?

@ShafiqK I have created the logo with Photoshop and I use this program to insert the logo: http://ggnome.com/pano2vr
I also use it to level the photospheres.
