MapMaker vs. LocalGuides

I've added over 250 POIs in MapMaker:

but LocalGuides shows only 133 places? 

 

Most (or all) of the places added after October 4th are not counted and not in Maps. I also snap many Panoramio photos to this new places. It seems this work is also lost.

Can someone of the Google moderators tell me how to save my work?

Hi @GuenterR,

In Mapmaker, 264 is the total number of edit you made.

In LG, it is 133 POINTs gained from edits.

In GMM, if I edit the same place 3 three, it can count as three edits.

But from LG, you will only gain 1 point.

And edits of roads in GMM will not gain you any LG points.

Only when the GMM edits have equivalent in LG edits, those will have chance to earn LG points.

thanks for your explanation. It's correct what you're writing but I did less changes on existing places. And after all I can't find the new places in Google Maps?

Hi @GuenterR,

As GMM counts the number of edits you made, the count increases upon the edit is submitted.

LG points are awarded when the contributions are approved.

So there is always differences, as edits can be denied, pending review for months, etc.
