I like to present this with a photo to a wider public.
It would be useful if you could limit the period in which these images are shown on Maps from the outset, "best-before date".
If such images were deleted automatically after some time, then this would help to clean up maps.
This would also be an area where Google's text recognition and machine learning could be used.
The machine might have images Local Guides for review. Should offers no longer be relevant, the Local Guide could apply for deletion here.
Already during an upload, the machine could detect such content here and ask the local guide, if these pictures should be shown only for a certain period of time.
The search on Maps could also present special offers on request.
