Shout Out to Bradenton!

I'm a newbie to living in the Bradenton area, but have vacationed here so long I feel semi-native. What or where do the "natives" go for excitement?

Re: Shout Out to Bradenton!

Depends on what your into but if the downtown area pubs are something you like then there's the Roo, there's a microbrewery on StRd 70, Brewery and Irish Pub on Main St. Bradenton, FL. If your into the arts, Sarasota has a large performance art selection. It has orchestras, opera, plays, bands, concerts, shows & theatres. Out on Anna Maria it's very quiet, things are closed by 9 m-th & sun.

If your looking go dance or clubbing then you'll need to also check out a place in Sarasota or drive to Tampa and go to Ibor City thats where the dance clubs and bars are located. If you don't mind the drive, Orlando's a 2 hr drive, tons of clubs and stuff to do, Disney & Universal Studios. But dont forget about Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and Sea World too.

Re: Shout Out to Bradenton!

Hello, @ChristineF@ and Welcome to Bradenton

The Riverfront has all kind of fun things to do! They have a splash water area in summer,  Bike riding & the Skateboard ramps.  Fishing off the pier or the Riverwalk itself.

Tonight is the Christmas Parade!  In February there's the big parade along Manatee Avenue.  All kinds of fun things out at Lakewood Ranch!

Just Google Lakewood Ranch.

Applebee's is a fun spot to go! 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour!

Downtown Bradenton has the New Year's Eve festivities.

On 41 or 14th Street we have a County Music Dance place, Joyland!

Of course, we have  beaches!

Also Sarasota downtown, is famous for it's nightlife's.  Main Street!

Hope this helps
