The Sapporo Lilac Festival began in 1959 at Odori park in the center of the city of Sapporo. The lilacs (Syringa) bloom in May.
Many citizens look forward to this festival, marking the end of a long winter and the start of a warmer season so, people can enjoy hangout and eating outdoors though the park was very crowded with people, we just took some photos and enjoyed the atmosphere at the festival. 

Odori park hosts several outdoor events especially summer to autumn.

After the Lilac Festival The Yosakoi Soran Festival (dance performances festival) will be held since next week.

We also have a Hokkaido Shrine Festival in Sapporo on the June 14–16, 2018. It's a traditional Shinto festival in June with a dazzling parade and bustling stalls.

I love the the beer garden at Odori Park on July to August.

Sapporo Odori Beer Garden is a huge beer garden held every year in Odori park . The 1 km or so venue seats approximately 13,000.

I think it's a largest beer garden in Japan.　

Let's enjoy the short summer to the fullest!(^o^)
