Re: Hiking In Las Vegas, Nevada

Carlos,

I think this is a great idea! Have you considered hosting a meet-up event in a National Recreation Area? Take a look at this link: https://events.withgoogle.com/google-hosted-meet-ups-in-us-national-parks/

I would be happy to host a Local Guides Meet-Up with you!

Best,

Allen

I'm here now (moving from Nashville, TN), and will be glad to go to either Red Rock or Mt. Charleston.  Carlos and Allen.

There's a new national monument site less than 20 miles away from Vegas strip.  I've not checked it out.  Tule Springs Fossil Beds.  https://www.nps.gov/tusk/index.htm

Re: Hiking In Las Vegas, Nevada

I've hiked both Mt. Charleston and Red Rock with my dogs.  Only a few trails each, though.  With my dogs, Mt. Charleston is much cooler in the summer.
