Yearly Google Sponsored Meet-up

We Can Have a Google Sponsored Meet-up yearly hosted by the Googlers in our communities. This can be done prior before the Summit always held at San Francisco or after, whatever way works for Google, am sure either before or after,  the community will appreciate them. 

This will help spur and also motivate Local Guides who might not be selected to attend the Summit Google do organize in San Fransisco. We can have the Googlers visit our communities and hold sponsored meetup  aimed at Knowledge sharing of the Google Maps and the Local Guides program. I know perfectly well this will be beneficial to the community and also to  the Googlers. Local Guides could get to meet some of the amazing Googlers who moderate this community in person. Googlers too will also have the opportunity to Travel, explore and visit different cities and also meet some of the Local Guides whom they interact with virtually as well. Am sure this won't cost anything.

e.g I Have seen some Googlers go on an adventure to look for Biryani in thier community, how about them trying out some new adventure like tasting the Nigerian Jollof ? Have a meet-up and roll out the invites to Local Guides

In like manner this can be done as well, having Photowalks, map edit walks, food crawl, accessibility meetups etc. All sponsored, you can also make great videos from such meet-ups as well to keep the social space more of in a Local Guides activities.

So recently I received an invite for Connect Live 2019. This made me think that we should do a meet up for  pretty much every major city or at least the main cities like New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, etc. They should be done like one to twice a year where we discuss what it means to be a Google guide, share ideas on what we think so far, what could be improved, Q&A all in person. I think this would make us feel closer as a community instead of being tied down at home or on our devices as we go through life.

I have an idea about meetup. If Google host a meetup yearly basis or quarterly basis for local guides , to meet and greet each other and also can know about more of Google products, walks , guide policies it would be better. Even that meet up Google can organize quiz or different activities , so it can be pumped up the event.

My suggestion is that local guide allover the world is of a great number and Google of course might not be able to invite quite substantial of them to perks cos the cost will be something else,more over some many local giuides are capable of taking care of their bills even exceed it ,while not create an avenue for volunteers based of self sponsor,plus the number Google is sponsoring ,all arrangements can be put together,i believe this will create an atmosphere of great unite of local guide members all over the world and make it more exciting too.just think this can help great participation and help member of local guide grab an astonishing experience and perk talks which is more important as long as Goggle map improvement is concerned.

I think Google team must organizing many event for local guide to a place which have less information and unknown for making it visible to all entire world. I know some places are interesting to visit but it unknown. How about you all ?

I have had companies reach out to me and send me gift cards when they hear i do reviews to come and do reviews with them. I had a small company invite me for free meals at multiple locations to review and give honest feed back it would not have been possible if it was not for google reviews @RegiAgba

Que Google ayude a pequeños grupos de Local guides en distintos continentes para organizarse y realizar reuniones trimestrales o semestrales y así compartir mejor las ideas, nuevas funciones y nuevos miembros. Por ej no conozco a ningún local guide en mi región y me encantaría poder compartir mas con ellos, principalmente los que son de mi Pais Paraguay.-

Realizar la preparación y capacitación para ser seleccionados a participar en cada Reunión anual.-
