What is the difference between a review and a rating in maps?
The thing is when I was viewing my contribution dashboard in maps there was
300 reviews · 2 ratings
So I was curious what is the difference?

A rating is only the "stars" given to a place.
A review is when you describe the place with some text.
I am not sure if a rating counts points in your contributions

That's what I thought at first but my numbers would suggest otherwise. I rarely give stars without some sort of write up but my numbers are 589 and only 16 ratings.
