Spedometer implementation

The implementation in Google maps to include a spedometer I think is essential. The options on the Play Store work okay but they're just not perfect. I think for Google Maps to implement this would really help people not have to use they're old GPS with Google Maps.

Use the Google app Waze. Google bought the Israeli company that created Waze a while back. I would love to see the wonderful user updated interface used in Waze to be used in Google Maps, but then why have two apps. Waze also allows for accident, road hazard and police alerts based on user input. It's a great app and has the speedometer that works great!!

I remember checking out Waze a longtime ago, just reinstalled it.
