@Annaelisa I love how in German seals are basically called “sea dogs”🦭It makes so much sense when you hear them “bark”. 😁

Das Seals grundsätzlich sowohl für zu deutsch "Robben" oder Seehunde als auch für Marine zutrifft ist von der Wortbedeutung klar.
Ich musste nur stutzen als ich "Robben", also für mich die Tiere, in Verbindung mit dem U-Boot sah.

I haven't heard the term "sea dogs" @MattGatlin but have heard the term "dogs of war". Anyway @Annaelisa my understanding is that these "seals" are small elite or special operations teams in tough land, sea and air situations. Many countries have them but might refer to them by different names. I think the British call them SAS troopers. In fact, while travelling I've been watching Running Wild, a series on National Geographic with Bear Grylls an ex British special forces operator. Interesting.

Oh, dass weiß ich nicht, aber aktuell sind dort auch U-Boote beheimatet.

Diese Bedenken teile ich durchaus.
Solange unsere Marine und Bundeswehr selbst diese Bilder teilt ist wohl alles in Ordnung
