sorry you can't post review without rating. You must submit minimum 1 star rating. But you can post any photo without rating or review. It's possible.

Place added	15 points per place added
Fact checked	1 point per fact checked

Like @Naiem said you can't add reviews without rating a place my friend 🙂 you can understand Points, levels, and badging her on help page.

My ratings still 0 even though I already give 1-5 star for my review.

The review rating 1-5 stars is actually different to the rating feature.

Ok, from memory when you visit a place you need to add it to your timeline.

When you go to " Your Contributions " you should see the place added below.

Then you can give it a rating.

I.E see photo.

 FYI = Not sure why Google has two rating systems.

Hello @HowdyTraveller. For every review, you have to give a rating before it gets posted. Therefore, those ratings that you gave with a review are taken into the count of number reviews, and points are awarded accordingly (5 points for 1 review, 1 point for the rating. So for each review you share, you get 6 points.). The number of ratings you see on your contributions profile is the number of ratings you gave without reviews. Does this clear your doubt?
