Qutub Shahi Tombs also known as seven tombs is the biggest necropolis outside of Egypt. The royal family which founded Hyderabad city and ruled out part of India are buried here along with notable personalities of 16-17th century including one of the most significant and powerful women of southern India during the mediaeval period, Hayat Bakshi Begum, who was the daughter of the Fifth ruler of Qutub Shahi dynasty, wife of the sixth and mother of the seventh and last ruler of the ruling dynasty. Aga Khan trust for culture is beautifully restoring these majestic tombs since 2013, we will explore the architectural treasure of the huge compound which includes several mosques, step wells and gardens. Entry fee is ₹10 and ample parking is available at nominal costs, please come in comfortable shoes with lots of energy. We will meet at the entrance near the ticket counter.
